With the support of our partners, the savED team launched Ukraine’s first experimental program for the psychosocial support of educators.
This program became our first major step toward understanding that we must care about the educators who work in our project locations. They need more than stress reduction — they need tools for self-reliance, resilience, and adaptation to constant changes in their professional environment.
Just as we do with children, we apply a comprehensive approach: combining stress-management techniques with the development of universal skills that are valuable both professionally and personally.
Program objectives:
-
Provide systematic support for educators to help them cope with emotional fatigue and war-related stress.
-
Strengthen educators’ emotional resilience so they can effectively support students during difficult times.
-
Help educators find balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being.
During the sessions, participants work through their own experiences, gain new skills, and support one another.
They:
-
Explore their reactions to stress and traumatic events.
-
Exchange experiences and mutual support.
-
Learn more about teaching children in wartime conditions.
-
Engage in art therapy and play-based practices.
-
Develop emotional regulation skills and nurture personal resilience.
